Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is common condition that affects millions. It isn’t always active, but is commonly triggered by foods that a person is sensitive to. People who live with IBS are typically careful about what they can eat and are aware of where restrooms are located in case the need to go strikes.
Irritable Bowel Syndrome can happen with diarrhea (IBS-D), constipation (IBS-C) or both (IBS-U). Current treatments tend to be antidiarrheals, anti-gas, and stool softeners depending on the type of IBS a person is dealing with.
Common symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome are:
• Diarrhea or Constipation
• Abdominal Pain
• Nausea
• Gas
