Crohn’s disease is an autoimmune disorder that causes inflammation to the digestive tract. Inflammation can be anywhere in the digestive system and usually affect deeper layers of the tissue. This leads to symptoms like abdominal pain, diarrhea, rectal bleeding, and fever.

Currently there is no cure for Crohn’s but treatments are available to alleviate symptoms. Treatments for the disease include corticosteroids, immunosuppressants, and biologics. These medications are usually given through an injection.

Ozanimod is an oral medication that is currently approved for ulcerative colitis and multiple sclerosis.
